Asianthrips orientalis Okajima View in CoL
( Figs 17–18 View FIGURES 11–22 , 101–108 View FIGURES 101–108 )
Asianthrips orientalis Okajima, 2006: 187–190 View in CoL .
A good number of females and males of A. orientalis View in CoL have been known from Southern Japan (Ishigaki and Iriomote Islands, the Ryukyus) and Taiwan, and both macropterous and micropterous forms are known in both sexes. Bicolourous abdomen of this species is unique in the genus. The fifth to eighth adominal segments are somewhat yellowish in contrast with brown anterior segments ( Figs 17 & 18 View FIGURES 11–22 ).
