Frequently reported from Greece. Originally from the Red Sea, in the Mediterranean also known from Egypt ( Fauvel 1937), Israel ( Ben-Eliahu 1989), Turkey ( Çınar and Ergen 2005) and Italy ( D’Alessandro et al. 2015).
