Type locality: DR Congo: National Park Albert , Niahitsindi, entre volc. Visoke-Musule .
Material examined. Burundi: 1♂, Muramvya Prov., 3 km NW Kanindi vil., Kibira national park , 3.19750°S, 29.55000°E, 16.III.2025, D. Dubrovskiy ( ZIN) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. DR Congo. First record from Burundi and first record after description.
Notes. Chrysotus latealatus was described from eight mountainous localities ( 2000–3475 m a.s.l.) in the Virunga (=Albert) National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo along the borders with Uganda and Rwanda. It is the only Afrotropical species with whitish yellow fore tarsomeres 4 and 5 ( Fig. 7F View FIGURE 7 ). Its male has body length and wing length about 2.5 mm (not indicated in the original description). The species is a possible endemic of the Albertine Rift.
