Record from more than 1000 m depth – ANT - Near Cape Hallett, 71° S 172° E, 1565–1674 m depth — Newell (1984).

Record from other depth (less than 1000 m depth) – ANT- Macquarie and Kerguelen Islands, off South Sandwich Island, off Elephant Island, South Shetland Island King George Island, Admiralty Bay, Ross Sea, Victoria Land (Cape Hallett), Georg V Land (Common wealth Bay), Terre Adelie, Gauss Station ( Lohmann 1907; Viets 1952; Newell 1984; Bartsch 1993, 2008b, 2016).

Remarks – This species was reported from littoral to abyssal on various substrata, abundantly found clingling to stolons of hydroids.
