Diagnosis. Elytra with distinct longitudinal band at sides continuing till apex, fasciae or spots absent, elytral intervals smooth with microsculptures, a row of setiferous punctures on either side of stria mostly present on apical half; pronotum cordate, surface smooth, glabrous sparsely punctate, basal fovea long and deep; median tooth of mentum bifid; apical margin of labrum almost truncate; apical segment of maxillary and labial palpi subcylindrical; lamella of aedeagus sub-truncate at apex, length of apical portion long.
Description. BL = 8.88 mm, HW= 1.78 mm, PL= 1.96 mm, PW= 2.24 mm, EL= 5.64 mm, EW= 3.56 mm
Head and pronotum black with reddish greenish iridescence; 1st antennomere and 2nd segment of maxillary palpi yellowish brown; labrum, 2nd and 3rd antennomere, 1st, 3rd and 4th segment of maxillary palpi, labial palpi, tarsal segments brown; remaining segments of antennae slightly dark brown; coxae and mandibles dark brown, remaining parts of legs brownish yellow. Elytra black with yellow band laterally.
Head surface glabrous, sparsely and minutely punctate, strigose on frons and vertex, occiput impunctate, fronto-clypeal suture visible. Labrum almost truncate at apex with rounded apical angles, fine setae present on either side; clypeus very slightly emarginate. Apical segment of maxillary and labial palpi sub-cylindrical, dorsoventrally flattened and truncate at apex. Median tooth of mentum bifid.
Pronotum cordate, surface smooth, glabrous sparsely punctate; lateral margins distinctly bordered; apical angles obtuse and basal angles acute. Median line prominent but not reaching extremities; basal fovea very distinct, long and deep. Position of lateral setae 1/4th from apex.
Yellow band on elytra laterally occupying whole 9th interval and basal half of 8th interval; yellow band at apical region broader. Elytra striate punctate; elytral intervals almost smooth but with microsculptures, a row of setiferous punctures on either side of stria, which are present mostly on the apical half.
Prosternum impunctate; proepisternum moderately pubescent; prosternal process bordered; mesosternum smooth; mesoepisternum sparsely pubescent; metasternum smooth medially sparsely pubescent laterally; metepisternum sparsely pubescent. Abdominal sternites glabrous medially, moderately pubescent laterally.
Aedeagus stout at base, tapers towards apex; median lobe gradually bends near base and gradually tapering towards apex, which can be seen dorsally; apex of apical lamella sub-truncate with rounded angles; length of apical portion long.
