Type material examined. Syntype of Homalium sulcicolle Fauvel, 1904 ♀ (left antennomeres 2–11 missing): ‘Palembang | SUMATRA’ <printed>, ‘ sulcicollis Fvl | ex au close | gkfl [?]. v. Rolle’ <green, handwritten in black In-dian ink>, ‘ Paraphloeostiba | sulcicollis | (Fauvel) | [handwritten] | det. M.K. Thayer 1989’ <printed>, ‘Paraphloeos-tiba | sulcicollis (Fauv.) The photographs of the habitus and type labels are available in the Arthropod Collections Database of FMNH (last access: 14.11.2020) .

Material examined. CHINA: HONG KONG: 1 Ƌ, 2 ♀♀: Tai Po. I.1996. leg. G. de Rougemont ( OUMNH); 1 Ƌ: Tai Po. XII.1996. leg. G. de Rougemont ( CS) .

Remarks. Homalium sulcicolle was originally described from Palembang (Sumatra, Indonesia) based on an unspecified number of syntypes. The species was redescribed by Steel (1960) and transferred to Paraphloeostiba . Rougemont (2001) mentioned specimens belonging to the ‘ sulcicolle group’ from Hong Kong as ‘ Paraphloeostiba undescribed species’. The aedeagus is illustrated in Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–5 . The distribution of the species is mapped in Fig. 38 View FIGURE 38 . It is here recorded from China for the first time.
