Comments: Amietia angolensis is known from almost all of Angola, but chiefly from the northern and western regions ( Marques et al. 2018). Ferreira (1904) cited two adult specimens from “N’dalla Tando” and possibly one from “Zembe”, matching the records for MHNCUP/ANF 192 and MHNCUP/ANF 193, ANF 195–196. The remaining extant specimens have no locality associated. A. angolensis has been restricted to Angolan populations by Channing & Baptista (2013) and Channing et al. (2016), although it might have a broader distribution ( Marques et al. 2018). Ernst et al. (2020) recently cited the species from Serra do Pingano, Uíge Province. Amietia angolensis was also recently cited from northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo ( Mali et al. 2019), but that identification needs confirmation ( Frost 2020).
