Material (one specimen): One adult specimen (MHNCUP/ ANF 332 , formerly UP-MHNFCP-052191; Fig. S21 View FIGURE S ), collected from unknown locality, date unknown .

Comments: Ptychadena ansorgii is a species known from the western and extreme northeastern regions of Angola ( Marques et al. 2018). The species was not cited by Ferreira in any of his publications regarding Newton’s expedition to Angola ( Ferreira 1904, 1906) and, therefore, constitutes an additional record of this species for the country, even if without associated collecting data.
