Diagnosis
This species is superficially close to P. prolixa sp. nov. in forewing pattern, but can be easily distinguished by the absence of a white basal band. Male genitalia are characterised by a bifurcate uncus; the wider gnathos concave caudally, and the cucullus and sacculus bear dense hairs apically.
Material examined
One male, Cambodia, Siem Reap Province, Phnom Kulen National Park , 200 m to headquarter, 21 .II .2012, RK Duwal, gen. slide no. 9288/S Kim.
Distribution
Cambodia (Northwest; new record), Vietnam (North).
Remark
When compared with the original description of Vietnam Promalactis albisquama Kim & Park ( Kim et al. 2010) ( Figure 3 View Figure 3 (G)), this Cambodian P. albisquama is superficially differentiated from the Vietnamese species in the forewing ground colour and wing pattern; it has a darker ground colour, and the antemedial band is not widened at the costal margin. The termen has yellowish fringes. However, genitalic characters are exactly same. The species, P. albisquama , seems to have dimorphism in the forewing pattern of adults.
