= H. atlanta Botosaneanu 1975 ; synonymized by Malicky 2005.

The larva of this species has been described and diagnosed by Bemmoussat et al. (2021) and Dakki & Tachet (1987).

Algerian literature records. Chelif Basin, Ain Defla, Chorfa Wadi, upstream of Djendel; Chelif Basin, Relizane, downstream of Jdiouia (Arab 2004). Blida, Chiffa, Chiffa Wadi; Mazafran Watershed, upstream of El Affroun, Djer Wadi; Medea, Tamezghida, Mouzaia Wadi; Mazafran Watershed, El Hamdania, Chiffa and Sidi Si Baahloul Wadis (Arab 2004). Great Kabylia, Djurdjura Mountains , Tizi Ouzou ( Sekhi et al. 2016). Tafna Watershed , Tlemcen, Chouly Wadi at Beny Ghazly (Bemmoussat et al. 2021) .

International literature records. MOROCCO ( Ajakane 1988; Bouzidi 1989; Hajji et al. 2013; Lamri et al. 2016a, 2016b; Mabrouki et al. 2020).

Material studied. ALGERIA, Blida, Hammam Melouane, Badour Wadi (S8) ( 36°28’43”N, 3°04’07”E) , 410 m a.s.l.: 22.iii.2013, 1 larva; 07.vi.2013, 1 larva ( CSK24 ). Hammam Melouane, Seghir Wadi (S6) ( 36°28’52”N, 3°03’00”E) , 300 m a.s.l.: 22.ii.2013, 4 larvae; 22.iii.2013, 9 larvae ; 25.iv.2013, 1 larva ( CSK25 ) .

Distribution. Algeria and Morocco.

Comment. In Algeria, this north African endemic species was collected for the first time in the study area ( Fig. 3 ), expanding its distribution in the country.
