Microstylum spinitarsis Macquart, 1850: 365 View in CoL . Type locality: Bangladesh (Sylhet [Silhet]) [Holotype ♀, MNHNP]. World distribution: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Borneo [not India] ( Walker 1849: 305; Macquart 1850: 366).
Note: No occurrence records are currently known from modern India. Previous Indian occurrence citations ( Lal 1960: 51; Oldroyd 1975: 122) refers to the type locality, Sylhet (city), which was located in pre-partition British India but is now part of Bangladesh.
