Itoplectis gonzalezi Kasparyan 2007: 110 [holotype ♀ (TAMU), Mexico, Chiapas, San Cristóbal, Reserva Cerro El Huitepec , 16°46’06”N, 92°41’04”W, 7900 ft. (= 2410 m), Malaise trap, 2–14.viii.1997, coll. A. González H., CIB 97–072; ♀ ♂].

Comparative diagnosis. Itoplectis gonzalezi differs from other species with pale mesothorax by its entirely black mesepimeron ( Fig. 16 ) and almost impunctate tergites 1–3 (tergite 3 sometimes sparsely punctate).

Distribution. Mexico (Chiapas).
