Diagnosis. Forewing length is 11–11.5 mm in males. Cabardites auco sp. n. is similar externally to C. maculata and C. guanyin sp. n., but differs clearly by its rust brown medial area of forewing (that is dark brown in C. maculata and C. guanyin sp. n.); contrasting, irregularly wavy, dark brown postmedial line edged with white outwardly (in C. maculata and C. guanyin sp. n. the postmedial line is diffuse and merges with the dark brown medial area), the absence of a brown subterminal spot at the forewing apex (present in C. maculata and C. guanyin sp. n.); and the presence of an elongated transverse brown subterminal shade between the anal wing margin and the cell (in C. maculata and C. guanyin sp. n. a spot opposite the posterior corner of the cell is present only). The male genitalia of C. auco sp. n. differ clearly from those of C. maculata and C. guanyin sp. n. by the narrow, thorn-like distal costal process and the vesica structure and are most similar to those of C. pica , from which, however, can be easily distinguished by their narrower vinculum, narrower valva, conspicuously shorter and narrower, thorn-like distal costal process, reduced distal saccular process, aedeagus vesica bearing a cluster of numerous small spinules medially (in C. pica such a cluster contains of several short but robust spines), and distal diverticulum bearing a cluster of several robust spines (in C. pica the distal diverticulum bears a small cluster of fine spinules).

Female is unknown.

Distribution. North Vietnam (Lào Cai Province: Fansipan Mts).

Etymology. Âu Cı is an immortal mountain fairy, a character of the Vietnamese creation myth.
