Nudaria maculata Poujade, 1886 , Annales de la Société entomologique de France (6) 6: CL [150] (Type locality: [SW China, Sichuan, Baoxing] “la province de Mou-Pin ( Thibet oriental)”).

Type material examined. Photographs of the syntype ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 11–20 ): male without abdomen, “MUS. HIST.NAT. A. DAVID Moupin (Thibet) 1871”/“Gre Nudaria ”/“ Nudaria maculata Pouj. ann. soc. ent. 1886 Bullet CL”/“ Nudaria maculata Pouj. Bull. Soc. ent. Fr., 1886, p. CL, L. T. (P. Viette X-52)”/round label “1526 70”/red label “ LECTOTYPE ”/yellow label “SAMPLED [ BOLD] BC-MNHN0425”/QR-code label with a unique number “ MNHN , Paris, EL 54075” (Coll. MNHN) .

Additional material examined. CHINA: 1 male, [Sichuan, Yaan-Kangding road, Xiaolou] Siao-Lou, Chasseurs indigènes du P. Déjean 1901/ Ex Oberthür Coll. Brit. Mus. 1927-3/ NHMUK010605906 About NHMUK , slide NHMUK010313441 About NHMUK Volynkin (Coll. NHMUK) .

Remark. Poujade (1886) described the species from two males, which are syntypes. Despite the specimen illustrated is labeled as lectotype by P. Viette in 1952, the nomenclatural act of the lectotype designation was not published (according to the article 9.8 of ICZN (1999), labels of specimens do not constitute published work) therefore the lectotype designation is invalid and this specimen still has a syntype status.

Diagnosis. Forewing length is 11.5–12.5 mm in males. The species is similar to C. guanyin sp. n., but differs by its larger size, broader white medial dashes at forewing costal and anal margins, and paler hindwing. The male genitalia of C. maculata differ from those of C. guanyin sp. n. by their more robust uncus being more curved subapically, broader valva, slightly larger medial costal process, broader, more rounded and less curved distal costal process, shorter distal costal process directed more or less distally, slightly more elongated and proximally broader aedeagus, slightly broader aedeagus vesica, the presence of subbasal ventral and dorsal diverticula, and shorter medial diverticula bearing clusters of conspicuously smaller spine-like cornuti.

Female is unknown.

Distribution. Southwest China (Sichuan Province). The record for Shaanxi ( Fang 2000) probably also belongs to this species but needs confirmation.
