Diagnosis. Forewing length is 12 mm in males and 12.5 mm in females. Cabardites tiendung sp. n. resembles externally C. auco sp. n., but can be separated by its narrower and more elongated forewing, longer white medial dash at forewing costa, and more strongly wavy postmedial line with white spots between veins outwardly. The male genital capsule of the new species can be easily distinguished from those of other congeners by its distal costal process lobe-like broadened dorsally but not protruding distally, very short, and spine-like distal saccular process directed distally. In addition, compared to that of C. auco sp. n., the genital capsule of C. tiendung sp. n. differs by the more slender uncus and rectangular vinculum. The aedeagus of the new species is conspicuously broader than that of C. auco sp. n. The aedeagus vesica is most similar to that of C. auco sp. n., but is broader, has an additional medial membranous diverticulum directed distally, its distal diverticulum is much broader and bears three robust, blade-like cornuti of various width. The female genitalia of C. tiendung sp. n. resemble those of C. limbata and C. pica , but differ clearly by their shorter apophyses anteriores, narrower ductus bursae not narrowed posteriorly, more heavily sclerotized, triangular appendix bursae, and the presence of the bulla-like accessory bursae. The differences between C. tiendung sp. n. and C. varanagara sp. n. are listed in the diagnosis of the latter species.
Distribution. North Vietnam (Lào Cai and Hòa Bình Provinces).
Etymology. Tiên Dung is a princess, a character of a Vietnamese fairy tale.
