Diagnosis. Four dc, acr absent. Hind tarsomere 1 with about 22 erect short black ventral bristles on basal 1/4 and row of 8–9 pv. Epandrium apically with fingerlike lateral process
Description. Male. Body length 2.35–2.55 mm, wing length 2.4–2.55 mm.
Head metallic green with pale gray pollen; frons and face brilliant. Hairs and bristles on head yellow. Ocellar tubercle weak, with 2 very long oc and 2 very short posterior hairs. Lower postocular bristles (including ventral hairs) pale. Antenna ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 14–16 ) blackish; first flagellomere blackish, rather short, about 0.7 times as long as wide; arista subdorsal, with basal segment very short. Proboscis blackish, with brown hairs; palpus brown, with yellow hairs and 2 yellow apical bristles.
Thorax metallic green with pale gray pollen, mesonotum and scutellum brilliant. Hairs and bristles on thorax yellow; 4 strong dc, acr absent; scutellum with 2 pairs of bristles. Propleuron with 1 yellowish hair on lower portion. Legs including coxae yellow, with all tarsomere 5 brown. Hairs and bristles on legs yellow; coxae with yellow hairs and bristles; fore coxa with 5–6 anterior and apical bristles, mid coxa with 4–6 anterior and apical bris tles, hind coxa with 1 yellow outer bristle near middle. Fore femur with 1 short av and short 1 pv apically; mid femur with 1 av apically; hind femur with 1 av and 1 pv apically. Mid tibia with 2 ad and 2 pd, apically with 4 bristles; hind tibia with 2 ad and 2 pd, apically with 4 bristles. Fore tarsomere 1 with row of about 10 short v; hind tarsomere 1 with group of about 22 erect short black ventral bristles on basal 1/4 and row of 8–9 pv. Relative lengths of tibia and 5 tarsomeres of legs. LI 2.9: 2.2: 0.9: 0.7: 0.5: 0.4; LII 4.8: 2.5: 0.9: 0.8: 0.4: 0.4; LIII 5.5: 2.0: 1.0: 0.8: 0.5: 0.5.
Wing hyaline, veins brownish; R 4+5 and M parallel apically, CuAx ratio 0.21. Squama yellow with pale yellow hairs. Halter brownish.
Abdomen metallic green with pale gray pollen, dorsum brilliant. Hairs and bristles on abdomen yellow.
Male genitalia ( Figs. 15–16 View FIGURES 14–16 ). Epandrium distinctly longer than wide, apically with fingerlike lateral process; surstylus rather thick and rounded apically, curved at middle; cercus with broad base and acute apex, with moderately long hairs.
Female. Unknown.
Type material. Holotype male, GANSU: Kangxian , 29. VII. 1980, Ch. Yang (Beijing).
Etymology. The specific epithet derives from the name of the collector Chikun Yang.
Comments. This new species is similar to Chrysotimus bispinus Yang and Saigusa from Yunnan, but may be separated from the latter by hind tarsomere 1 basally with 1 bundle of about 22 erect short black ventral bristles and surstylus without spines on inner surface. In C. bispinus , the hind tarsomere 1 has 12 short black ventral bristles, and the surstylus has 2 strong spines on inner surface ( Yang and Saigusa, 2001b).
