Type locality: 7 km south of St. Paul Island, southern Indian Ocean; 672 m.

Specimens examined: Five infertile syntypes from the Indian Ocean; see details in Supporting Information, Table S1 View Table 1 .

Lectotype designation: Lectotype, an infertile, formalin-fixed then ethanol-preserved colony ZSM 20040930 View Materials ( Fig. 20A View Figure 20 ); paralectotypes, microslides ZSM 20041566 View Materials ZSM 20041569 View Materials ( Figs 5R–U View Figure 5 , 20B–J View Figure 20 ) .
