Specimens examined. Jarabacoa (Cordillera Central), 30-IX-2008, one female and one male on Rubus View in CoL sp. ( Rosaceae View in CoL ); two females and one male on a unidentified Melastomataceae View in CoL . Las Galeras (Peninsula de Samaná), 3-X- 2008, one female on Miconia View in CoL sp. ( Melastomataceae View in CoL ).

Remarks. This species has previously been recorded from Algeria, Bermuda, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Florida ( USA), Galápagos, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Honduras, India, Jamaica, Louisiana ( USA), Martinique, Mexico, Perú and Venezuela. The measurements of the adult females collected are very similar to the re-descriptions of this species provided by De Leon (1966), Kreiter & Moraes (1997) and Kreiter et al. (2006) for specimens from British Guyana, Guadeloupe and Martinique, respectively.
