Type locality.

"la Colombie [sic, Venezuela], dans la province de Cumana [Edo. Sucre]".

Label.

"Venezuela / Cumana", in Nyst’s handwriting.

Dimensions.

"90 millimètres de longeur sur 40 de largeur "; lectotype H 86.3, D 44.5, W 5.5.

Type material.

RBINS/MT2352, lectotype (design. n.), ex Nyst.

Remarks.

Nyst (1843) did not indicate that he only had an unique type at hand. In his label dated 1874, he indicated this specimen as “type”; it is now designated as lectotype.

Amphibulimidae , Dryptus funckii (Nyst, 1843).
