Type-species Gypona exornata Fowler, 1903: 315 .

Diagnosis. Coloration ( Figs 1–4 , 31–38 ) forming patterns of yellow, orange, red and black maculae; forewing ( Figs 4 , 31–38 ) with two wide white or yellowish area near costal margin, one at basal third and one at apical third, alar appendix developed, wider than first apical cell width; head ( Fig. 1 ) distinctly narrower than pronotum, transocular width about seven-tenths of humeral width of pronotum; sternite VII of male ( Fig. 5 ) as long as wide or longer than wide, almost fully hiding the subgenital plates; male pygofer ( Figs 7, 8 ) without basodorsal process; subgenital plate ( Fig. 9 ) narrow, with hair-like setae on external margin; connective ( Fig. 10 ) Y-shaped; aedeagus ( Figs 13, 14 ) with apodemal processes.

P. pilosa Gonçalves, Takiya and Mejdalani, 2018: 144 . Peru.

P. eliasi sp. nov. Brazil: Rondônia.
