Neotype (Lassen inTurland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 475. 1997): France. Aude: Craboules, prés salés et bord des chemins, Jun 1889, Abbé Pons s.n. [Magnier Fl. Select. Exsicc. 2353] (LD).

Current name: Medicago ciliaris (L.) All. View in CoL ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Heyn (in Bull. Res. Council Israel, Sect. D, Bot. 7: 167. 1959) discussed the name but was unable to locate a suitable type. Lassen subsequently designated a neotype.
