A widespread but scattered neotropical species, so far known from Cuba (type), Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Costa Rica, French Guiana, and Ecuador ( Gradstein & Ilkiu-Borges 2009; Reiner-Drehwald 2009a; Reiner-Drehwald & Goda 2000; Schäfer-Verwimp & Pócs 2009; Schäfer-Verwimp et al. 2013).
