Widely distributed in the Neotropics “at elevations above 1000 m ”, known from Guatemala, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil ( Reiner-Drehwald 2006), and Honduras ( Ye et al. 2013); the records from Panama are from slightly lower altitudes.
