A scattered neotropical species, so far known from Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Guayana, French Guiana, Tobago, Trinidad, and from the West Indies ( Jamaica, Dominica, Martinique, Guadeloupe) ( Eggers et al. 2004; Dauphin et al. 2008; Gradstein 1997; Schäfer-Verwimp & Reiner-Drehwald 2009), previous reports from Panama from the Canal Zone. The cited specimen was included in phylogenetic studies ( Heinrichs et al. 2014a).
