Actaea rufopunctata (H. Milne Edwards, 1834) — Rathbun 1906: 852 (part; as “ Actaea rufopunctata variety no. 3” on label) [Kaua‘i]. (not Xantho rufopunctatus rufopunctatus H. Milne Edwards, 1834 View in CoL ).

Remarks. The name of the variety needs to be formally validated. It may prove to be a distinct species.

Geographical distribution. Only known from the Hawaiian Is.

Habitat. Subtidal to bathyal, 124–326 m.
