Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun lâm viên.

Remarks. Michaelsen (1934b) erected the subspecies Pheretima bianensis duplofasciata Michaelsen, 1934 for specimens from the same locality as Pheretima bianensis bianensis Stephenson, 1931 , but according to Thai (1983) the two subspecies are not clearly distinguishable. It is suggested to re-check material for both subspecies.
