Type material. SORC, Vietnam.
Type locality. Laos (Se Pon).
Records from Vietnam. Cao Bang (Thach An) ; Phu Tho (Xuan Son NP) ; Hanoi (Ba Vi NP) ( Le 1995a; Huynh & Nguyen 2004a; Huynh et al. 2005).
Distribution. Laos ( Samphon 1990).
Vietnamese name. Giun nhú đực hình chóp.
Remarks. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ", but further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.

Examined material. 5 C (SORC-HPV.027.01) near stream, deciduous forest, Dak No, Dak Lak, 13/10/1989 ; 4 C (SORC-V.027.02) forest, Dran Phoc, Dak Lak, 10/1989; 1 C (SORC-V.027.03) deciduous forest, Ea Lop , Dak Lak, 18/10/1989 ; 1 A (SORC-V.027.06) bamboo forest, Yok Don , Dak Lak, 9/10/1989 ; 1 C (SORC-V.027.08) Yok Don, Dak Lak, 10/1989; 4 C (SORC-V.027.09) banana garden, Yok Don, Dak Lak, 10/1989; 1 A (SORC- V.027.10) near lotus lake, Yok Don , Dak Lak, 3/10/1989; all coll. Huynh Thi Kim Hoi.

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.
Vietnamese name. Giun núi đăc nô.
Remarks. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and presence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Metaphire is confirmed here.
