Type locality. China (Szechuan) ( Chen 1946).

Type material. Unknown.

Records from Vietnam. Son La (Moc Chau; Yen Chau) ; Phu Tho (Xuan Son NP) ; Hanoi (Ba Vi NP) (Do 1994; Huynh & Nguyen 2004a; Huynh et al. 2005).

Distribution. Vietnam, Laos, China ( Chen 1946; Samphon 1990).

Vietnamese name. Giun núi kinfu.

Remarks. The species was originally described by Chen (1946), but treated as a subspecies of Amynthas omeimontis by Sims & Easton (1972). Tsai et al. (2000) restored full species rank.
