Distribution. The species is probably originally from southern China, but now widely distributed in Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra), Hawaii, USA, Mexico, South America, the Caribbean region, England, Spain, Italy, Pakistan, India, and Australia ( Gates 1972; Easton 1981; Samphon 1990; Blakemore 2002; Shen & Yeo 2005).

Vietnamese name. Giun morris.

Remarks. The species is widely distributed in northern and northcentral Vietnam.
