Type locality. Vietnam (Hanoi: Soc Son) ( Thai 1984).
Type material. ZMUM (W.231), Russia.
Records from Vietnam. Vinh Phuc (Tam Dao NP) ; Hanoi (Soc Son) ( Thai 1984b; Le 1995a).
Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.
Vietnamese name. Giun núi vuông.
Remarks. Thai (1983) proposed a new subgenus Terrata of the genus Pheretima , and placed the species under the new subgenus. Blakemore (2007a) stated its status as " species inquirenda ". Further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.
