Amynthas dackenanus ( Do & Huynh, 1992)
Pheretima dackenana Do & Huynh, 1992 (in: Thai et al. 1992): 2, fig. 1C; Nakamura 1999: 41; Thai 2000a: 308; Huynh 2005a: 114.
Amynthas ? dackenanus— Blakemore 2007a: 26, " species inquirenda "; Blakemore 2008b.
Type locality. Vietnam (Dak Lak: Dak Ken ).
Type material. SORC, Vietnam.
Examined material. 1 C (SORC-PV.026), 3 C (SORC-HPV.026) on the banks of stream Dak Ken, Dak To, Kon Tum, 12/10/1989, coll. Huynh Thi Kim Hoi.
Records from Vietnam. Dak Lak (Dak Ken) ( Thai et al. 1992).
Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.
Vietnamese name. Giun đắc kên.
Remarks. The species can be distinguished from its most similar congener Amynthas alluxoides ( Thai & Samphon, 1988) in having three pairs of spermathecal pores in intersegments 6/7/8/9 and male porophores slightly indented into body wall ( Thai et al. 1992). Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
