Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.
Vietnamese name. Giun đông hà.
Remarks. The species is fairly close to Amynthas dananganus (Thai, 1984) , but can be distinguished by more setae, first dorsal pore in 11/12, genital markings in 17/18, four pairs of spermathecal pores in intersegments 5/6/7/ 8/9, septum 8/9 thickened and absence of lymph glands ( Pham 1995c). Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
