Type species. Dichogaster damonis Beddard, 1888 .
Distribution. Widely distributed in various parts of the world.
Remarks. More than 200 species have been described, several with circumtropical distributions ( Blakemore 2002). Only four species have been recorded in Vietnam, and all are cosmopolitan species.
