Type species.
Samarangopus jacobsoni (Silvestri, 1930).
Diagnosis.
Fourth antennal segment with 3 well developed setae; globulus of sternal antennal branch g short-stalked; all legs 5-segmented; empodia with 1 anterior accessory claw ( Scheller 2011).
Distribution.
Palaearctic, Ethiopian, Oriental, and Australian regions.
