Type Locality: Oman, Dhofar, Khadrafi, 620 m.
Vernacular Names: Dhofar Shrew.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
Conservation: IUCN – Critically Endangered.
Discussion: Originally described as a subspecies of C. somalica , but Hutterer et al. (1992 c) provided arguments for full specific status.
