D i s t r i b u t i o n: known only from a few specimens: Turkey (Ankara, Bolu, Nevşehir, Niğde and Isparta), Greece (western Peloponnesus) ( GARREVOET & GARREVOET 2002).

R e m a r k s: as already stated by the authors of this species ( KALLIES et al. 1998) the exact relation to Synanthedon spatenkai GORBUNOV 1991 is not yet clear. Additional material and research is needed to solve this question.
