Dadaya macrops (Daday, 1898) View in CoL
Common species in Cat Tien ( Sinev & Korovchinsky 2013). Species was present in all samples from locality 6. Two ephippial females were found in locality 6 on 5.12.2018. Morphology of found specimens fully agrees with the redescription of species ( Rajapaksa & Fernando 1982). Ephippial female was studied using SEM for the first time.
Ephippial female. Body ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 E–F) high oval in lateral view, higher than in parthenogenetic female, with highly arched dorsal margin; height-length ratio 0.78. Ephippium rounded, high, with expressed dorsal keel and large, prominent egg locules, covered by thick, irregular polygonal sculpture, more expressed outside egg locules. Ventral margin of ephippium well-defined, prominent, rest of the valve covered by thin regular polygonal sculpture, same as in parthenogenetic female.
