According to Kopelke (2007a), Phyllocolpa erythropyga ( Förster, 1854) has previously been confused with Phyllocolpa leucosticta . Whilst Phyllocolpa erythropyga was recorded in the British Isles by Liston et al. (2012), records of Phyllocolpa leucosticta require validation.
