Remarks. This species was based on a single specimen, which is deposited at the Field Museum of Natural History (Chicago). According to Herman (2001) the current valid name of this species is Stenus speculifrons Fauvel, 1877 . Puthz (1969) placed S. bonariensis in synonymy with S. speculifrons .
