*Phymatodates Mulsant, 1863a: 397 [stem: Phymatod-]. Type genus: Phymatodes Mulsant, 1839 [placed on the Official List of Generic Names in Zoology (ICZN 1989a)]. Comment: original vernacular name unavailable (Art. 11.7.2): not subsequently latinized.
