Distribution. Belgium, Great Britain, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia (European part), Croatia ( Pollet & Ivković 2018), Sweden ( Negrobov & Naglis 2020) and Czech Republic (present paper).

Status in CZ. The first CZ records of this species are presented herein. The specimen from Dobřany (listed above) was erroneously identified and recorded as T. bellus by Olejníček (1973). All specimens from Vráž (years 1992–2010, listed above) were erroneously identified (J. Olejníček and/or S. Naglis det.) and recorded as T. bellus in Naglis et al. (2016).

Ecology. In CZ, this species has been recorded from a somewhat wide range of wetland habitats, including peat bogs, and also from higher altitudes (220–850 m). Details on most findings are unknown, but the species apparently has no close relation to Eleocharis or Schoenoplectus stands, as these plants were not observed at the locality Vráž (M. Skalický, pers. comm.), which is the only site where the species was collected repeatedly and in larger numbers.
