Redescription. Length 8.4–11.0 mm, width 5.6–7.0 mm. General color ( Figs 34D–34F View FIGURE 34 ) yellow; antennae yellow, antennomeres VII–XI black. Antennae filiform in males ( Fig. 36A View FIGURE 36 ), antennomeres IV longest, VIII–X elongate, length ratios of antennomeres I–XI 1.0: 0.7: 1.3: 1.4: 1.3: 1.2: 1.2: 0.9: 0.8: 0.8: 1.1, length to width ratios of antennomeres I–XI 2.4: 2.2: 3.9: 3.9: 3.6: 3.3: 2.9: 2.6: 2.4: 2.4: 3.5; similar in females ( Fig. 36B View FIGURE 36 ), length ratios of antennomeres I–XI 1.0: 0.7: 1.1: 1.4: 1.2: 1.0: 1.0: 0.9: 0.8: 0.8: 1.0, length to width ratios of antennomeres I–XI 2.3: 2.0: 3.2: 4.1: 3.3: 2.9: 2.8: 2.5: 2.3: 2.2: 3.1. Pronotum transverse, 2.0x wider than long, disc slightly convex, with dense, fine punctures, punctures reduced medially, baso- and apico-lateral angles rectangular, apical margin slightly concave. Elytra oblong, widest at middle, 1.3–1.4x longer than wide, disc without reticulate microsculpture, but with dense punctures; moderately convex, epipleurae near lateral margins, located 9/10 distance between suture and lateral margins. Penis ( Figs 36C–36E View FIGURE 36 ) slender; 6.8x longer than wide, parallel-sided, apically tapering from apical 1/5, bifurcate at apical 1/10, lateral apices connected; tectum extremely elongate, apex a little longer equal to apex of penis, deeply bifurcate at middle, lateral processes elongate or apically broadened; slightly curved near base in lateral view, apices narrowly rounded; inner apical half of ventral surface membranous; endophallic sac without sclerites. Apical margin of abdominal ventrite V in female truncate. Gonocoxae reduced. Ventrite VIII ( Fig. 36L View FIGURE 36 ) transverse, apical margin rounded, depressed medially, with long setae along apical margin, spiculum long and wide. Receptacle of spermatheca ( Fig. 36M View FIGURE 36 ) as wide as pump, connected to pump, basally narrowed; pump strongly curved; proximal spermathecal duct extremely elongate, apical area covered by short teeth.

Variation. Adults are variable in color patterns and penis shapes. Some specimens from Java possess black abdomens and were described as O. abdominalis . One female from Timor (holotype of O. flavipes ) possesses black thoracic and abdominal ventrites, but males from the same area are yellowish brown. Specimens from Borneo and Banguay island possess darker antennomeres IV–XI, and those from Banguay island possess black outer margins of tibiae and were described as O. rhabodscelis . A number of specimens collected from Mindanao possess black heads, metasterna and abdomens, and black spots on the pronota ( Figs 34G– 34I View FIGURE 34 ). Males from Borneo and Philippines possess swollen apico-lateral apices of the penis ( Figs 36F– 36I View FIGURE 36 ) and some are more elongate than usual (9.4x longer than wide) ( Figs 36H– 36I View FIGURE 36 ). The apico-lateral apices of the penis are angular or subapically angular (described as O. elliptica ) ( Figs 36J–36K View FIGURE 36 ) in some males from the Philippines.

Diagnosis. Members of this species are similar to those of O. foveicollis Laboissière and O. femoralis Laboissière with the entirely yellow elytra but can be distinguished by the yellow scutellum and femora (black scutellum and femora in O. femoralis ) and relatively longer antennomere III (much shorter in O. foveicollis ).
