The group comprises 4 species. It is characterised by the following apomorphies:
Forewing with mixed colouration and suffusion of black scales;
ground colour of forewing light brown;
antemedial and upper half of subterminal lines well marked, black;
reniform stigma prominent, yellowish;
hindwing with discal spot, present or absent;
saccus short, triangular or Ushaped;
tergite of 8 th abdominal segment prominent loglike process, absent by B. suffusa ;
phallus broadest by ductus ejaculatorius, curved subapically, tapered towards apex;
vesica often with small triangular cornuti.
