Paratypes MLS 1544-45 View Materials ( figs. 56 View FIGURE 56 and 57 View FIGURE 57 ), female and male respectively. “Puerto Nariño, Amazonas” and “La Pedrera, [ Río Chaqueta ,] Amazonas” Colombia respectively.

Remarks: The species was redescribed by Feitosa, et al. (2007). MLS 1544 was collected by Brother Nicéforo María in May 1957 and has no skull. MLS 1545 was collected by Fray Miguel de Ipiales in Dec. 1934. Specimen MLS 1544-45 are hydrated and in good state of preservation but badly mounted. Cunha y Nascimento (1982) propose to sinonimyze M. f. subtilis with the nominal race and Feitosa et al. (2007) corrobates this action.
