Type Locality: Côte d’Ivoire, Adiopodoume.

Vernacular Names: Baer's Hylomyscus.

Distribution: Recorded only from Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Sierra Leone.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Part of the murine fauna endemic to West Africa (see account of Grammomys buntingi ). Distributional and morphometric data summarized by Robbins and Setzer (1979); Ghana and Sierra Leone records reviewed by Grubb et al. (1998).
