This key is based on the description of Y. brevispinus sp. nov. and Štusák (1972, 1977, 1989) original descriptions.

- Scutellar spine much longer, erect basally, bent backward at apex; at least two times the width of an eye ( Fig. 1 A)......... 2

2. General coloration pale (except antennal segment IV).......................................... Y. parallelus Štusák

- General coloration pale-colored, with blackish brown or black portions on head, pronotum, or apical spine of peritreme.... 3

3. Head bicolored, anterior lobe shiny black; pronotum and peritreme (including apical spine) pale-colored................................................................................................... Y. nigricephalus Štusák

- Head and pronotum with blackish brown or black portions, apical spine of peritreme black............. Y. procerus Štusák
