Genus Panerema Foerster View in CoL

Panerema View in CoL , represented in the Palearctic Region only, contains three species ( van Achterberg 1988a; Papp 2003a). Van Achterberg (1988a) stated that Aspilota pygmipunctum (Fischer) View in CoL is “probably” a species of Panerema View in CoL but did not transfer it to that genus. Females are known for Panerema inops Foerster View in CoL (brachypterous) and Panerema fulvicornis (Haliday) (macropterous). Panerema szelenyiana (Fischer) View in CoL and A. pygmipunctum View in CoL were described from males only, and their position in Panerema View in CoL needs to be verified.

Prior to this study, brachypterous species of Panerema View in CoL were known only from the Western Palearctic. A new species represented by a brachypterous female collected in the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia is described below.
