Bohemia: Druztová , 2 km SW (6246), Berounka river env., 49°46′25″N 13°26′30″E, ca 295 m, Populus , 2.viii.2021, 5 ♀♀ ( MCH) GoogleMaps ; ditto, 21.viii.2021, 1 ♁ 2 ♀♀ ( MCH) GoogleMaps ; ditto, 5.vii.2022, 1 ♁ ( MCH) GoogleMaps . Domažlice (6543), 49°25′57″N 12°54′22″E, 445 m, Populus , 4.x.2020, 2 ♁♁ ( MCH) GoogleMaps ; ditto, 9.x.2020, 1 ♁ ( MCH) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. Belgium, Czech Republic, Russia ( Negrobov & Naglis 2016), and Sweden ( Persson et al. 2019).
Status in CZ. Previously recorded only from Vranovice in southern Moravia ( Olejníček 1982, as M. faminina ). The relevant male specimen (3.iv.1971, R. Rozkošný lgt.) was not available for study (deposited probably in MZMC). The first records from Bohemia are given herein .
Ecology. Medetera feminina is most often encountered on trunks of poplar trees in rather humid biotopes, which is also confirmed by the new records.
