Distribution. Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden ( Negrobov & Naglis 2016) and Czech Republic (present paper).
Status in CZ. The first records are given herein.
Ecology. In Flanders (northern Belgium), M. pseudoapicalis is an early spring species that has mainly been encountered on poplar trees in damp wooded sites (M. Pollet, unpubl. data).
