Comments.

Three specimens of an unknown species of Rhoptropus were collected in a riparian area during our last expedition in 2022. This lineage is currently being described in a separate paper, and is endemic to the highlands of the inselberg ( DP unpubl. data). It has affinities to Rhoptropus montanus Laurent, 1964 , another montane endemic from the Huila Plateau in southwestern Angola ( Laurent 1964).
